Why do certain purchases end up marked as “Payment pending”?

Orders submitted in a currency not supported by the PayPal account are either automatically converted or need to be manually confirmed via the PayPal interface depending on the configuration.
If you want to automatically accept purchases in certain currencies without approving them individually, you can choose to:
- Add that currency to the list of currencies supported by your PayPal account:
From your PayPal account (www.paypal.com) > Account settings > Professional profile > Money, cards, and bank accounts
- Activate automatic conversions:
From your PayPal account (www.paypal.com) Account settings > Account and security > Payment preferences > Block payments > Update > Payment receipt preferences
