Create an account at Google Analytics to use PrestaShop Metrics

Account creation and configuration Google Analytics

To start collecting standard data from a website :

 

  1. Log in to your account at Analytics or create one at google.com/analytics. Use one of the following methods: to create an account, click on Get started for free, or to connect to your account, click on Connect to Analytics.

  2. Configure a property in your Analyticsaccount. A property represents your website or application, and is the collection point for data about it in Analytics.

 

Add tag Google Analytics to your site

Afin order to collect data in your Analytics property, you need to add your tag to your website. To do this, you can use our free Google Analyticsmodule.

 

Once this module has been installed on your online store, access the module configuration page.

At the bottom of the page, you will find a field to fill in with your Tracking ID.

 

 

This identifiant is available in your Google Analyticsaccount, in your property settings, in the following form: UA-123456789-1.

Copy and paste your identifiant from Google Analytics and click on the Save button.

Your tag is now installed on your site.

Return to your configuration page Prestashop Metrics, refresh the page if necessary. A banner indicates that your PrestaShop Metrics service is now successfully configured.

 

NOTE:

  • Please allow up to 24 hours for your visit data to appear on your Prestashop Metricsdashboard.
  • For instant verification of your tag Google Analyticsinstallation, visit your Google Analyticsaccount, in the real-time reports section. Check your site as a normal user would, you should see this activity live on your Google Analyticsaccount.
