You'll notice that often, following a technical support request, the first question you may be asked is how to retrieve connection information for a tool, or a URL.
We'll tell you why, and who to contact to retrieve this information.
Access to your Backoffice prestashop (the most common request):
For this request, you are the only person who will be able to provide them: you will need to create a new employee and send the identifiers you have created for the occasion.
PrestaShop 1.6 : Administration > Employees
PrestaShop 1.7 : Advanced settings > Team
What is FTP access? We invite you to follow this link. These are identifiers that allow access to files on your site. Generally ask your host
What is database access? As the name suggests, it's a place where you can find all the data and information about your site. Product, customer, order and other data. You should also ask your web host for this access.
Access to your cPanel, your plesk: What is it? This is an interface provided by your hosting provider when you open your hosting package. A backoffice that provides access to various information and settings concerning your server.
Access to your domain name management: More rarely requested, really for specific cases of server migration or e-mail problems. In many cases, you'll need to get this information from the same hosting company you're renting a server from. But this is something that can be managed independently by another host or domain name manager.
