Wishlist Buy Later

The Buy Later module, developed by PrestaShop, allows you to improve your conversion rate by allowing your customers to keep the products they liked and find them easily to buy them later. Configurable in a few clicks, this module allows you to create and display a shopping cart for the products that your customers want to keep and find again at their next login.

Find below all the necessary information to understand and use this module.

Step 1: Choose your criteria

Before displaying the second "Buy Later" basket on your site, you need to configure your module according to several criteria:

• Exclude or not certain products or categories from the possibility of adding to the cart for later. Choose "None" if you want your entire catalog to be set aside in the Buy Later cart.

Click on "Category" if you want to exclude one or more categories. Type the first letters of the items you want to exclude and click on the ones that interest you. For the selected items, it will not be possible to put them aside. Your customers will have to remove them from their basket or complete their purchase.

• Whether or not to display price changes. When a customer puts a product in their "Buy Later" cart and leaves your site, it is possible that when they return to their cart, the price of the product has changed. If you wish, you can decide to display specific prices (promotions) and reductions in the base price.
• Indicate whether or not in the cart when the product stock is low. You can choose to indicate when the stock of a product in the "Buy Later" cart is below the desired level (between 1 and X products). If you click "Yes", your customers will be notified for their set-aside products with a low stock level, via the phrase "Attention, there are only X products left in stock". This will encourage them to put these products back in their basket and complete their purchases before they are out of stock.

Step 2: Customize your "Set aside" basket block

You can also customize your second basket according to different elements to adapt it to the colors of your store:

• The banner of the block

1. Choose the name of the block to display, in all the languages of your store
2. Choose the text color of the block banner
3. Choose the background color of the banner

• The "Put back in the basket / Move to the basket" button

1. Choose the title of the button
2. Choose the background color of the button and the mouse hover
3. Choose the color of the button text

Once the configuration information is saved, your customers will be able to keep the products they want for later!

Front office operation

Once your customers have added one or more products to their cart and go to the cart page, they have the option to move their products to a second cart by clicking on "Set aside". These then appear under the basket in a new "Products kept for later" block.

Your customers will therefore have the opportunity to keep the products that interest them and find them easily to buy them later. Furthermore, they can be notified when products are on sale or when their stock is low.

If a customer adds a product to the "Set aside" cart and its product sheet is then deactivated or deleted, it disappears from the cart. If the merchant has chosen in the configuration of its back office to continue to display on its site the products that are no longer in stock, the product will remain visible in the "Buy Later" cart, and the customer will be notified of a message to indicate that the product is currently no longer in stock. Otherwise, the product disappears from the cart.

The customer can put up to 10 products in their "Buy Later" cart.

Note: In a first version of the module, only customers registered on the site and connected to their accounts will be able to access this basket.
