When you buy a product on the PrestaShop Marketplace, it can generally only be used on a single store. Therefore, when downloading your module or theme, you are asked to select the URL of the store on which it will be installed.
PrestaShop support can help you change the URL associated with a product in three cases:
- You change the domain name of your store
- You need to use the product on a subdomain belonging to the same main domain
- You had installed the product in a test environment and you now want to use it on an active store
Before contacting us
1. First, you will need to add the new desired URL in your user space on the PrestaShop Marketplace. Log in, and go to the "Stores" tab. Then click on "Add".

3. Your store is now registered.

You can now send your request for modification to support via our contact form, specifying:
- The reason for the change
- The product that must be associated with a new URL

Frequently asked questions
Why do I have to go through support to change the URL associated with my products?
This change cannot be made independently from your PrestaShop account because, as specified in our General Conditions of Use, the Business Care service associated with your purchase applies per product and per URL.
Would I need to repurchase a license?
For some products requiring a license key, Business Care will need to be renewed in order to activate the product in the new store.
What happens if the Business Care has expired?
Each Business Care subscription is linked to a URL per order. Therefore, to access support and updates on a new URL, you will also need to reactivate the Business Care offer for the product.
Can I change the URL associated with a transferred product?
This is entirely possible, however, the request for a change of URL must always come from the account that purchased the product. It is therefore more practical to ensure that the product is linked to the correct URL before a transfer, since the recipient will not be able to make this request for modification from his account.
