Optimization parameters

PrestaShop offers a wide range of parameters for adjusting the behavior of your store. Depending on the settings you choose, your store can be further optimized.

 

Smarty cache

PrestaShop has a cache system. The principle is simple: when a page is loaded by an Internet user, it is cached. Thanks to this, the next time we visit this page, it won't be loaded in the traditional way, but will be retrieved directly from the cache. This system speeds up page loading times. These settings can be found in the "Performance" menu in the advanced settings.

Compressing CSS and JS

You can also compress CSS and JS files. On the same page, a little further down, you'll find the CSS/JS optimization parameters:
