The theme of a store refers to its appearance, that is to say, the manner in which products and various information about your store are presented to your customers.
Your store has a default theme; to view it, click on the "View my store" link located on the right side of the top bar of the back office. You may retain this theme and configure it, or choose another theme. The PrestaShop Marketplace offers a wide selection of themes.
Select an already installed theme.
To choose a theme that is already installed on your store, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to Appearance > Customization in the left menu.
- In the Themes Library section of the Theme tab, select the theme that suits you.
- Click on Use this theme.
Add additional themes.
If you wish to add more themes to your store, it is possible! To do this, you need to install these themes on your store.
To find new themes, 2 options are available to you:
1. On the Appearance > Theme Catalog page
Explore the theme catalog in your back office and discover all the free and paid themes to give your store a new look.
On the PrestaShop Marketplace
Explore the PrestaShop Marketplace to find free and paid themes. Once the theme is downloaded, you will be able to add it to your store under Appearance > Customization > Import a theme.
Customizing a theme
To customize the theme of your store, please follow these steps:
- Select Appearance > Customize from the left-hand menu.
- In the Active Theme section of the Theme tab, click on the Customize button.
You will be automatically redirected to the "Appearance > Theme Modules" tab. - Select the theme element you wish to configure, then click on the Configure button.
