Bank transfer (classic or instant) is a payment method appreciated by some customers, particularly in B2B transactions or for high amounts. In France and Europe, instant bank transfer is now widely available and often free of charge. Activating this payment method can therefore improve the customer experience and accelerate the collection process. Here's how to do it in a few steps:
1. Access the menu
In your PrestaShop back office: go to Payment > Payment methods and click on Configure next to Wire payment.
2. Enter your bank details
Provide your IBAN/BIC data and any relevant information. This allows your customers to see the transfer instructions on the payment page.
3. Set the booking duration
Specify the number of days during which the order will remain pending receipt of the transfer.
4. Save and activate
Do not forget to click on Save after each modification, and check that the module is properly activated.
Once these settings are in place, your customers will see the "Pay by bank transfer" option appear on the front-office of the store, in the block of available payment methods. After the customer has chosen it and indicated their choice of currency, your bank details will appear.
