⚠️ Attention: as part of our ongoing mission to improve our offerings and products, PrestaShop Metrics will be decommissioned on January 1, 2026. No action is required on your part; the module will continue to function normally until the deadline. Furthermore, your data remains stored on your store and will always be accessible, even after the module is discontinued. Do not hesitate to explore the PrestaShop Marketplace to find analytical tools in the Analytics category. |
This supplementary configuration step allows you to connect your Google
Analytics account, thereby benefiting from your visit data directly within your
PrestaShop Metrics dashboard.
To do this, click on the connection button, and you will be redirected to a Google authentication window
.
Select your email account linked to your Google Analytics account. If necessary, create an account (more
information on creating a Google Analytics account can be found in the section New
Google Analytics User, below).
Once the terms and conditions of use have been read and accepted, click on the authorization button
to allow the connection between your Google Analytics account and PrestaShop Metrics.
You are thus redirected to the PrestaShop Metrics configuration page and now have the
option to choose the Google Analytics property you wish to associate with the account you
have just connected.
Specific case: multiple Google Analytics properties.
In the event that multiple properties are linked to your Google Analytics account (for tracking multiple websites, for example), an option appears allowing you to modify the property associated with your website.
Click on Change Property, then select the appropriate property from the available options linked to your Google Analytics account.
Specific case: the account or property does not correspond to the detected Google Analytics tag.
PrestaShop Metrics automatically detects the presence of a Google Analytics tag on your site. In the event that this Google Analytics tag present on your site does not correspond to the specified account or property, a warning banner will be displayed, informing you of this incompatibility.
To resolve the issue, three options are available to you:
- If the error indicates an incompatibility between your tag and your Google Analytics account, please change your Google Analytics account. The tag detected on your site is clearly associated with another Google Analytics account.
- If the error indicates an incompatibility between your tag and the selected property, please change the property. The tag detected on your site evidently corresponds to another property in your Google Analytics account, which is present in the list.
- If necessary, configure a new Google Analytics tag. For further details on this step, please refer to the New Google Analytics User section.
Specific case: no tag detected
PrestaShop Metrics automatically detects the presence of a Google Analytics tag on your site. In the event that no tag has been detected, a banner will be displayed inviting you to implement your tag.
This tag is essential for sending your visit data to Google Analytics.
To do this, you may use our Google Analytics module. Please note: this module does not work with Google Analytics V4 accounts.
