Depending on your type of store: Hosted, Classic, or Open Source, and whether or not you are using a PrestaShop Account, the procedures for logging in to the back office will vary slightly.
To determine if the PrestaShop Account is installed on your store,
you need to check the login page for your back office:
- With PrestaShop Account:
- Without PrestaShop Account:
With the PrestaShop Hosted offer.
- Access the back-office login page; you received its link via email within 24 hours of subscribing to Hosted.
- Log in using your PrestaShop Account credentials.
You are now logged into your Hosted back-office! If you cannot find some of your identifiers, do not hesitate to contact PrestaShop support.

With an open source store or PrestaShop Classic.
The procedure does not seem so different from that for Hosted; however, there are some crucial differences.
- Please have your credentials created during the installation of your store ready. The difference with Hosted: these credentials will not be the same as those of your PrestaShop account; they are independent!
- Access the back-office login page. The difference with Hosted: the link to your back-office is displayed at the end of the store installation and will not necessarily be sent to your email address. If you lose this link, it is possible to retrieve it by accessing your FTP files.
- Enter your email address and your password, which are therefore not those of your PrestaShop account.
- Click on "log in" to access the back office.
If you have logged into your PrestaShop account via the pre-installed module on the classic version, or if you have downloaded and installed it on an open-source version, then you can log in using your PrestaShop Account credentials.
You can also alternatively log in with the credentials provided at the creation of the store by clicking on 'Log in with another method' at the bottom of the page.

In the case of a Hosted store, you will find the login page for the back office in the confirmation email "Your store has been installed."
In the case of a Classic or Open Source store, if you follow the installation steps correctly, PrestaShop will rename the administration folder to give it a unique name, thereby securing access: the folder "/admin" will become, for example, "/admin7703". This unique name will help you retrieve the URL of your back office. In our example, you should type the following URL, https://www.monprestashop.com/admin7703, to access the login page of your store's back office. Always remember to save this URL and your personal credentials.
