The PrestaShop Marketplace is the official marketplace of PrestaShop. It brings together a wide selection of modules, themes and services developed by PrestaShop, in addition to its community made up of partners and independent developers.
Depending on the scenarios, there are various methods for communicating with these stakeholders at different times in the life of your store.
1. Before purchase – ask your questions
Are you considering purchasing a module or theme and have questions about its features or compatibility?
- Go to the product page on the Marketplace
- Find the "About the developer" box on the left of the product sheet
- Click on "Ask a question", then select "I would like to buy this product"
- Fill in and submit the form

2. After purchase – multiple access options
Once the product has been purchased (or transferred to your account), there are several ways to contact the developer. You must be logged into your Marketplace account and have an active Business Care subscription for the product in question.
Via the Products menu
- Access the Products menu
- Locate the envelope icon to the right of the product
- If you do not have Business Care for this module, the icon will be greyed out and you will then need to activate Business Care via the Subscriptions menu
- If your Business Care is active, then click on the icon and choose "I have a question about a product I have purchased"
Via the Orders menu
- Access the Orders menu
- Click on the three dots to the right of the product
- Select Contact
- You will be able to access the following steps if your Business Care is active
Through the Reviews menu
- Access the Reviews menu
- Your products will be visible there 10 days after purchase or download.
- Click on Contact the seller under the product name
- You will be able to access the following steps if your Business Care is active
Through the product page
- Return to the product page while being connected
- In the "About the developer" box, click on "Ask a question"
- You will be taken to the contact form
3. Free product - Some differences
When you download a free product directly, it does not appear in the Products and Orders menus. If it is a PrestaShop product, simply use the form on this Help Center.
For a free product developed by a third party:
- You can go through the product sheet. The process is the one described in part 1. Before purchasing
- You can also directly open the Marketplace contact form, and your free products will appear when you select "Which product is concerned?"
- Finally, you will be able to find a contact point in the Reviews menu, 10 days after downloading the product.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I find my exchanges with a developer?
In the Messages menu of the Marketplace.
How do I know if my message has been received?
An email notification alerts you to each exchange. PrestaShop support can intervene in case of doubt.
Do I always have to provide FTP access?
No, unless the developer specifically requests it. Only the fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.
