Business Care is a subscription that provides you with access to the after-sales service of a module or theme.
What does the Business Care subscription include?
With the Business Care subscription, you benefit from:
- Access to all feature and security updates for the product in question.
- Access to compatibility updates with any new version of PrestaShop, whether major (such as PrestaShop 1.7) or minor (such as PrestaShop 1.7.7).
- Unlimited support as long as the subscription is active, for your questions regarding the use of the product and the resolution of technical issues related to the product.

How does the Business Care subscription work?
Business Care is a subscription automatically included when purchasing a module or a theme on the PrestaShop Marketplace, and it can be renewed each year. This subscription has a duration of 12 months and is tacitly renewed on the due date.
Furthermore, a Business Care subscription is linked to both a product and a store. Thus, if you purchase the same module or theme multiple times for several stores, you will need to have Business Care for each one.

What is the price of the Business Care subscription?
The Business Care subscription is billed annually. Its price depends on the price of the product and the time of purchase:
- 40% of the price of the module or theme when it is the first annual payment or during a renewal. The Business Care subscription and its price are directly included in the product order.
- Price of the Business Care subscription (40%) + 95% (Surcharge) of the price of the Addon alone if it is a reactivation. Therefore, in the case of a purchase made following a cancellation, or before the implementation of the Business Care system (Starting from March 20, 2025)
- The changes made to the price of the modules only affect future subscriptions. Customers who subscribed to a Business Care plan prior to the price modification of the modules will continue to pay the same amount as indicated on their first invoice.
How to manage your Business Care subscriptions on a daily basis?
The management of Business Care is carried out from your PrestaShop Marketplace account in the 'Subscription' tab.
On this page, you will find not only your payment methods and billing information, but also the list of your products associated with a Business Care subscription.
At first glance, you will see in this list:
- The name of the product
- The store to which it is attached
- The payment method
- The subscription deadline
- The current price
- The active or inactive status of the Business Care subscription
By clicking on "Details", you will gain access to more information about the product:
- The order number
- The option to enable or disable automatic renewal
- The addition or removal of a payment method

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to the Business Care subscription of a product transferred to another account?
The management of the Business Care subscription is also transferred to the recipient account. The billing information of a past subscription purchase remains attached to the buyer's account, but the costs of future subscriptions will be your responsibility and recorded on your account.
What happens if I forget to cancel my subscription?
If, before the end of your subscription, a payment method is provided and automatic renewal is activated, you will be charged to continue the Business Care subscription for one year. You will not be charged if the subscription is marked as deactivated.
A notification is sent each month by email to inform you of the subscriptions that will end in that same month.
And what if I have not provided a valid payment method?
If no payment method is registered, your subscription will end at its expiration. If you wish to benefit from it again, it is advisable to provide a payment method before expiration, in order to maintain the same pricing. Indeed, once your subscription has expired, if you wish to reactivate it, a one-time reactivation fee will be applied.
May I purchase a product without the Business Care subscription?
The Business Care is included in the price of your product. It is not possible to purchase a product without Business Care, in order to ensure the maintenance of the product and to protect you against a lack of assistance in the event of a technical malfunction. Certain products, such as some services, are not covered by the Business Care subscription.
What are updates for?
Every product is destined to evolve in order to adapt to the latest versions of the PrestaShop software, and to meet the various needs of e-merchants with new features and fixes.
As a result, module and theme developers enhance their products by:

- fixes following bugs reported by customers or security fixes; these updates are classified as minor.
- new features added during major updates.
What does unlimited support include?
Unlimited support is a technical assistance available for the entire duration of the subscription, to help you with installation, configuration, or any potential bugs.
