The PrestaShop Marketing with Google module allows you to easily connect your store to Google and promote your products to millions of buyers through Google Shopping, Google Search, YouTube, Gmail, and Discovery. It facilitates the creation of Performance Max campaigns and the management of the product catalog, directly from your PrestaShop back office.
Technical prerequisites:
- Up-to-date PrestaShop store (minimum recommended version 1.7.8)
- Valid Google accounts: Google, Google Merchant Center, Google Ads
- Complete product catalog, with high-quality images and product identifiers (GTIN, MPN, Brand) for optimal validation by Google
- Configuration of taxes, shipping fees, and return policy clearly displayed on your site.
Installing and connecting your accounts
1. Download and installation
Go to the PrestaShop Marketplace to download the compatible version of the module. In your back office, go to “Modules > Module Manager”, click on “Add a module”, select the ZIP file, then install it.
2. Connection and permissions
- Click on "Configure" to access the module settings.
- Log in to your Google account (the one associated with your Merchant Center and Google Ads).
- Authorize access to the necessary data for synchronization and campaign management.
3. Account Association
- Select the Google Merchant Center account to use.
- If you manage multiple stores, repeat the setup for each store.
- Ensure that your accounts are properly linked to avoid synchronization or validation errors.
Product feed configuration & synchronization
1. Selection of products to synchronize
With the Product Filter feature (new 2024), you can choose precisely which categories or products to promote on Google. This allows you to optimize your budget and target your campaigns to the best-performing articles.
2. Configuration of the flow
- Define the language, currency, and destination countries for your advertisements.
- Configure the product attributes (brand, color, size, material, etc.) to enhance classification and visibility on Google.
- Verify the compliance of the images (size, quality).
3. Automatic synchronization
- Schedule the automatic synchronization (up to 4 times a day).
- Monitor the number of products sent to Google and the date of the next synchronization.
- In case of a catalog change, the update is made within a maximum of 6 hours.
