In PrestaShop, the installed modules are "attached" to specific points known as "hooks." It is possible to use this hook system to alter the location of the blocks that make up the various elements of your front office.
Before modifying the position of the modules, it is important to understand the fundamentals of PrestaShop's hook system. For this, you may refer to the dedicated article: The Hooks System.
Access the position options.
Go to the "Design / Positions" menu to access the list of active hooks in your store as well as the list of modules attached to these positions:
Search by module.
To modify the position of a module, you can use the module filter to locate the module in question:
Search by hook
Another way to locate a module is to perform a search by hook if you know the name of the hook:
Detach a module
If you wish to detach a module (disconnect it from a hook), you may click on the module's actions to select the "Unhook" action.
The module will then no longer be visible on the website at the corresponding hook.
Attach a module
- Click on the "Attach a module" button.
- On the next page, select the module you wish to attach.
- Then select the position (hook) to which you will attach the module.
Confirm your changes by clicking on the save button.

⚠️ Caution, it may be risky for a novice to modify the hooks of the modules. In certain cases, the act of unhooking or hooking a module may cause a malfunction of the store. In case of doubt, please contact your agency or refer to the PrestaShop support offers for this type of operation. |
