Wishlist Buy Later

The Buy Later module, developed by PrestaShop, allows you to improve your conversion rate by enabling your customers to save the products they liked and easily find them to purchase later. Configurable in just a few clicks, this module allows you to create and display a cart for the products that your customers wish to keep and find upon their next login.

Below you will find all the necessary information for understanding and using this module.

Step 1: choose your criteria

Before displaying the second cart "Buy Later" on your site, you need to configure your module according to several criteria:

• Exclude or not certain products or categories from the possibility of adding to the cart for later. Select "None" if you wish for your entire catalog to be set aside in the Buy Later basket.

Click on "Category" if you wish to exclude one or more categories. Type the first letters of the items you wish to exclude and click on those that interest you. For the selected items, it will not be possible to set them aside. Your customers will need to remove them from their cart or complete their purchase.

• To display or not to display price changes. When a customer adds a product to their "Buy Later" cart and leaves your site, it is possible that upon returning to their cart, the price of the product may have changed. If you wish, you may choose to display specific prices (promotions) and reductions in the base price.
• Indicate or not in the cart when the product stock is low. You can choose to indicate when the stock of a product in the "Buy Later" cart is below the desired level (between 1 and X products). If you click "Yes", your customers will be notified for their reserved products that have low stock levels, via the message "Attention, there are only X products left in stock." This will encourage them to put these products back in their cart and complete their purchases before they are out of stock.

Step 2: customize your "Save for Later" cart block.

You can also customize your second cart according to various elements to match the colors of your store:

• The block banner.

1. Choose the name of the block to display in all the languages of your store.
2. Choose the text color of the block banner.
3. Choose the background color of the banner.

• The button "Add to Cart / Move to Cart."

1. Choose the title of the button.
2. Choose the background color of the button and the mouse hover.
3. Choose the text color of the button.

Once the configuration information is saved, your customers will be able to keep the products they wish for later!

Front-office operation.

Once your customers have added one or more products to their cart and navigate to the cart page, they have the option to move their products to a second cart by clicking on "Put Aside." These will then appear below the cart in a new section titled "Products Saved for Later."

Your customers will thus have the opportunity to keep the products that interest them and easily find them for purchase at a later time. Furthermore, they will be able to receive notifications when the products are on sale or when their stock is low.

If a customer adds a product to the "Buy Later" cart and that product's page is subsequently deactivated or deleted, it will disappear from the cart. If the merchant has chosen in the configuration of their back office to continue displaying products that are no longer in stock on their site, the product will remain visible in the "Buy Later" cart, and the customer will be notified with a message indicating that the product is currently out of stock. Otherwise, the product will disappear from the cart.

The customer can place up to 10 products in their "Buy Later" cart.

Note: In an initial version of the module, only customers registered on the site and logged into their accounts will be able to access this cart.
