What is a module/theme update?
Any module or theme sold on the PrestaShop Marketplace is usually developed to adapt to the different versions of the software or to meet the different needs of e-merchants. These improvements are subject to updates of the modules and themes by their respective developer.
As a result, module and theme developers can bring their products to:
- Corrections following bugs reported by customers or security fixes; these updates are classified as minor.
- The addition of new features gathered during major updates.
How do I update a module or theme?
Once you have purchased a product, access its updates in the following way:
- From the administration interface of your store, log in to your account;
- Access the "Modules" menu: notifications appear for the modules to be updated;
- Click on the "Update" button of the product in question
- Enjoy the new version of your product!

What is the Business Care subscription?
Business Care is a subscription associated with each of the addons purchased on the PrestaShop Marketplace, the first year of which is included when purchased.

What does the Business Care subscription include?
With the Business Care subscription, you benefit from:
- Access to all minor and major updates offered by the seller
- Access to compatibility updates with any new version of the software, whether it is major (ex: PrestaShop 1.7) or minor (ex: PrestaShop 1.7.7). Corrective versions are excluded (ex: 1.7.7.8).
- Unlimited support as long as the subscription is active (questions about product use and solving technical problems related to the product)
Note: Business Care does not include specific, customized developments on request and tailored to your online store.
What are the features of the Business Care subscription?
- The first annual payment is paid when purchasing the addon
- The subscription duration is 12 months from the date of purchase of the addon
- The subscription payment is annual and not by monthly withdrawal
- The subscription is tacitly renewable
- Without commitment, termination is done without notice. The subscription will end once the current subscription expires. The year started is due.
- Reactivation of the subscription is possible at any time, even several years after the expiration date.
How to subscribe to the subscription?
When you purchase your addon, your first year subscription is automatically included and then tacitly renewed at the end of the period. Good to know, you keep your addon for life.
Where can I see and manage all my Business Care subscriptions?
All of your Business Care subscriptions are listed in your customer account, on the Subscriptions tab. From this page you have the possibility to enable or disable the automatic renewal of your subscriptions, track the expiration dates (renewal or expiration) but also manage your payment method associated with one or more subscriptions.
Is the Business Care subscription mandatory when purchasing a product?
Yes, the Business Care subscription is inseparable from the purchase of the addon. You cannot buy an addon on the PrestaShop Marketplace without an associated subscription.
I own several copies of the same addon, is a single Business Care subscription sufficient?
The Business Care subscription is associated with a license to use an addon. If you have purchased the same addon several times for different stores, a subscription to as many Business Care subscriptions is therefore necessary in order to benefit from its advantages.
What is the price of the Business Care subscription?
When purchasing a new addon, the subscription price is automatically calculated and included in the price displayed on the product sheet.
This price is justified by the work of the sellers who create and maintain the products on a daily basis to ensure their performance and compatibility on your online store, while providing quality technical support to help you grow your business.
The price variations of addons only impact future subscriptions. If you have already subscribed to a 'Business Care' subscription before the price change of the addon in question, you will still pay the same amount as their first invoice (excluding discounts).
In the context of a reactivation, or a renewal of the Business Care subscription, the price of the special tariff conditions applies.
Is the Business Care subscription automatically renewed?
Yes. The Business Care subscription is tacitly renewable. Shortly before its renewal, you will receive a notification to inform you that the Business Care offer will soon be renewed.
If the addon has been transferred, then this notification will be sent directly to the new beneficiary.

Can I disable the automatic renewal of my subscription?
If you do not want the Business Care subscription to be tacitly renewed, you can disable its automatic renewal from your customer account in the Subscriptions section. At the end of the current period, this action will result in the termination of your subscription.
This operation must be carried out for each Business Care subscription that you no longer wish to benefit from.
If you change your mind, you can simply reactivate this option as long as your subscription is still active.
Can I cancel my Business Care subscription?
Yes. You can cancel your Business Care subscription at any time and without notice. However, it will end on the expiry date of the current subscription.
Example:
On July 1, 2021, you purchased a product including the Business Care subscription.
On October 31, 2021, you requested the termination of your subscription by disabling its automatic renewal. The termination will take effect on June 30, 2022. Between October 31, 2021 and June 30, 2022, you continue to benefit from all the advantages of the Business Care subscription.
Can the Business Care subscription be reactivated?
Yes, the 'Business Care' subscription can be reactivated at any time from your account on the marketplace.
However, if it has already expired, a one-time reactivation fee will be applied.
What happens if my payment method is no longer valid or if no payment method is registered on my account?
In the event that you have a subscription with automatic renewal enabled, if the payment method has expired or does not exist, then the renewal amount cannot be deducted from you. Therefore, once the deadline has passed, your Business Care subscription will be temporarily cancelled for a period of 10 days. During these 10 days, you will be asked to add a new payment method to reactivate your subscription. If payment still cannot be made at the end of these 10 days, your Business Care subscription will end permanently and you will lose all its benefits.
What are my rights following the termination and expiration of my subscription?
You remain the owner of your addon and can continue to use it freely. However, you can neither benefit from technical support nor from new updates of your addon, major or minor.
What is the preferred payment method and what are the benefits of setting it?
In order to simplify the payment of your renewals, we give you the option to set a favorite payment method. Once set up, this payment method can be assigned to all your existing Business Care subscriptions. This allows you to centralize your renewals on the same payment method. In addition, if you change your preferred payment method, all your subscriptions associated with this method will be automatically updated with your new payment method. Better control and time savings for managing your subscriptions.
Please note that the preferred payment method will only be applied to your existing subscriptions and will therefore not be applied by default to your future subscriptions.
I would like to subscribe to a 'Business Care' subscription for an addon that I have already purchased. Is this possible?
Yes, if the addon in question is still available on the marketplace, then you can subscribe to the Business Care subscription directly on the Subscription tab on the marketplace.
If you do not have an active support offer or if it has expired: an additional surcharge will be applied in addition to the price of the Business Care subscription, only for the first year of re-engagement.
If you have an active support offer, the price of the Business Care subscription is on average 40% lower than the price after expiration.
In conclusion: remember to subscribe to the Business Care subscription before your addon support expires!
I can't subscribe or reactivate a Business Care subscription. Why?
Two reasons are possible:
The addon has been partially disabled from the marketplace: if your subscription is still active, you can continue to benefit from the advantages of the Business Care offer.
If you do not have any support offer or if it has expired, the subscription or renewal of the addon Business Care subscription will be possible as soon as the latter is back online on the marketplace.
The addon has been permanently disabled from the marketplace: the status "No addon available" is mentioned. In this case, you cannot subscribe to the Business Care subscription.

The renewal of my subscription could not be withdrawn, what should I do?
In case of failure to pay your automatic renewal, a notification is sent to you by email to notify you. Your Business Care subscription is temporarily canceled but we are giving you a 10-day period to reactivate your subscription at no cost.
The reasons for a payment failure can be many, but the notification tells you exactly why the automatic renewal failed. To pay for your subscriptions waiting to be renewed, click on the "Settle my subscription" link. A page opens and shows you the invoice or invoices awaiting payment. Select the invoice or invoices of your choice and proceed to the payment by indicating your payment method.
Following this new attempt, if the payment is successful, your subscription will be renewed. If payment still cannot be made at the end of these 10 days, your subscription will be cancelled and you will lose all its benefits.
What are the terms of reimbursement?
No refund will be made automatically. Any request for reimbursement must be made in writing to PrestaShop.
PrestaShop can make the refund without consultation or request for validation from the seller concerned.
The eligibility conditions will be as follows:
1. For the refund of the addon
You are eligible for a refund of the addon, up to 1 month after purchase, for at least one of the following reasons:
- The addon has not been downloaded
- The addon has technical malfunctions
- If you have not previously contacted the seller to obtain support regarding the malfunction of the addon, PrestaShop S.A is not able to proceed with its refund without the consent of the latter.
The refund of the addon systematically leads to the full refund of the 'Business Care' subscription as well as its termination.
Once the refund has been made, you will no longer be able to download the addon in question from your PrestaShop customer account.
2. For the reimbursement of the Business Care subscription
You are eligible for a full refund of your 'Business Care' subscription for at least one of the following reasons:
- No response was given 2 weeks after the technical support request
- No technical resolution was provided within 2 weeks of the request
Once the 'Business Care' subscription has been refunded, you will no longer have the option to download updates or receive technical support for the addon in question.
