Why do I see an alert banner inviting me to confirm the URL of my store?
This message appears because our PrestaShop Account service has noticed that the URL of your store does not match the one we had previously recorded in our service.
The most common reasons are:
- You have changed your domain name.
- You have moved your store from a testing environment to its production environment, or vice versa.
- You have created a new store by starting from a copy of an existing store.
This verification is essential to ensure that your connected modules and services function correctly.
What should I do?
The alert banner contains a link that redirects you directly to the settings page. On this page, you will have two options to indicate the nature of this change.
Please note, this choice is important:
- Confirm the change of the URL.
Prefer this option if it concerns the same store that has merely changed its address. Example: You are changing your domain name frommon-ancienne-boutique.com toma-nouvelle-boutique.com.
By choosing this option, you retain the same store identity and thus all the configuration of your services related to this store.
- Create a new identity
|
⚠️ Attention: This action is irreversible. It will create a new identity for this store in our services, and you may need to reconfigure certain services and some module subscriptions, if applicable. Before proceeding with this action, ensure that you do not have any ongoing subscriptions related to this store. Indeed, your subscriptions will remain registered under the old identity of your store and not under the new one you are about to create. |
Prefer this option if this store is a new independent store, a copy, or a clone of your original store. Example: You have duplicated your main store (which remains online) to create a test site or to launch another project on a different domain.
My store is then displayed as "unverified"; what should I do?
If our service is unable to verify the authenticity of your store again, the status of your store will change to "unverified."
A manual resubmission allows you to replay the verification of your store in order to resolve the issue. For more information, please refer to the article Resolving an Unverified Store Issue on PrestaShop Account.
