The PrestaShop Account module enables the automatic verification of the authenticity of your store and authentication with your PrestaShop Account user account. Some services require this authentication to identify you as a user.
Steps to authenticate yourself
- In your back office, navigate to Modules > Module Manager.
- Search for "PrestaShop Account" (under the Administrationcategory) and click on Configure.
- Ensure that the status of your store is "Verified." Otherwise, please refer to the article "Resolving an Issue with an Unverified Store on PrestaShop Account."
- Click on the login button.
- A pop-up opens:
- If you have an account, please log in.
- If you do not yet have an account, please create one.
- Once the connection is successful, your email address will appear.
Note: This process is also accessible from the integration interface of various modules requiring a connection with the PrestaShop Account.
Change the contact information
Unlike the previous version of the PrestaShop Account module (v7 and earlier), which required a manual process of disassociation followed by association with a new PrestaShop account, the new version (v8) offers simplified management.
Indeed, it is no longer necessary to dissociate an account before associating another one. To change the contact information associated with your module, click on the button that allows you to switch accounts and authenticate yourself with another account.
Please note: A store can only be linked to a single PrestaShop Account at a time. On the other hand, a single account can manage multiple stores.
